As the last stage of Tour De Ski 2010 – 2011, the 9th Vasaloppet China 2011, Jan. 2nd is a battle of expectation and determination! It marks Changchun Jingyuetan National Park an extraordinary place!
The Vasaloppet China 2011 “Vasa Snow Angle” finally drew to an ending by Dec. 19th, 2010. Zhang Yongkun, a junior from Jilin University of Finance and Economics got the crowned 2011 years Vasa Snow Angel!
The XC ski education project for this winter season started from November 25th,2010. For this year, there will be overall 120,000 students from 21 universities of Changchun taking part in this project, which has also set a new record comparatively!
As the only cross-country ski event in China, hereby, we are honored to address it has been finally confirmed by FIS ( International Ski Federation ) that the Vasaloppet China 50km long distance category is authorized to have the FIS points continuously!
Gripsholm Royal Castle Gives Skies to New Museum
Mariefred The skis have been on the castle’s attic for nearly a century. Now they are on their way to China, where a new Vasaloppet Museum opens early next year.
– It feels great since it was Gustav Vasa, who built the Gripsholm Royal Castle, “says Castellan Claes-Goran Hedén.
The Vasaloppet China Museum, which is going to have its opening ceremony on Jan. 2nd, 2011 is just under construction. Till today, as the pictures showing, we can already tell the exterior appearance of the museum same as the view planned.
