Christmas is closing in on all of us, and so is the New Year with Vasaloppet in Changchun. Track preparations have begun as well as snow making for the sculpture in Jingyuetan Park which will be 16 m high, more than 120 m long and 14 m thick

On December 20th, the top final 20 girls competing in this years’ Vasa Snow Angel will be in the finals round of competition at Jilin TV station. We wish them all good luck!
Apart from the many ski enthusiast coming in from Europe and USA to go in the different Vasaloppet races, several thousand Changchun students are still receiving cross country ski training from former top Chinese skiers Zhang Kai, winner of the 2008 16.6 km Vasaloppet China and Mrs Yang Yuxiang, former winner of the Chinese XC Ski championships and an educator with Nordic Ways Ski Education Project in Changchun for 3 years.
